Event Description
On 1 November 2025, Petronela’s Hope officially opened its Domestic Abuse Advice Centre on the 1st Floor of the Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham.
This was a major milestone for the charity, creating a dedicated safe and confidential space where survivors of domestic abuse can receive advocacy, mentoring, and practical support.
The opening was attended by:
The Mayor of Medway
Local councillors
Kent Police representatives
Community leaders and supporters
Representatives from the Slovak Embassy in London
The Advice Centre offers:
Domestic abuse advocacy and support
Mentoring and recovery programmes
Help with housing, benefits, and legal referrals
Interpreting support in 14 languages
Emotional and practical support for women and children
Since opening, the Advice Centre has become an important community resource for survivors across Medway and beyond.
